Valentine's Truffles

These Chocolate truffles are so, so easy to make, and they make the perfect little gift for your Valentine! They look super sweet in my red heart cake tins. Exclusively from Debenhams.  Valentine for me is about showing the one you love how important they are to you. My favourite present ever was a handmade gingerbread couple from my Husband. It so sweet that he'd taken the time and effort to make something for me, rather than just buying an expensive gift. I'd choose this over diamonds and flowers any day. (Actual no scrap that I really love receiving flowers!) Here's the recipe for these easy peasy Chocolate Truffles...

You’ll need…
300g chocolate (plain, milk or fruit and nut)
30g butter
250ml double cream
100g chopped nuts
100g hundreds & thousands

To Make…
Fill a large saucepan half full with water and simmer over a medium heat.
Break up the chocolate put into a heat proof bowl along with the butter.
Place the bowl in the saucepan and stir until melted.
Heat the cream in another saucepan until almost boiling, take it of the heat immediately add it to the chocolate.
Mix together well, until smooth. Allow to cool, then chill in the fridge for a few hours. Once the Ganache has set, take two small bowls, add the chopped nuts to one and the hundreds & thousands to the other. Use a spoon to take some of the Ganache and roll into small balls in your hands, roll each ball in the nuts or sprinkles until coated. Place the truffles into a cake tin and chill until ready to serve.
